Good Greek And Mediterranean Food.
Zougla is a classy restaurant for lovers of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. It is located about 1 km from the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo. They have a good compound for parking and a very comfortable dining area, including some tables outside in the veranda. The lady serving our table was friendly and efficient and would enquire every so often if we were being well served.
We ordered a Salmon Filet and a Greek Salad. The vegetables in the salad were topped with oregano, feta cheese, green olives extra virgin olive oil, while the salmon was a whole wild BC sockeye fish topped with lemon herb sauce and served with rice and vegetables.
There is a great variety of dishes in the menu including vegetarian and vegan options. They have a good selection of spirits and wines, and also serve coffee. The prices were on the higher side but we quite enjoyed our dining experience.
